Barbara G. White, LMT, MTI, BCTMB, CLT, CDT, ALM
Barbara has been a licensed Massage Therapist since 1999 and has pursued continuing education along many paths including Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release and Non-Western modalities such as Thai Massage, Shiatsu, Reflexology and Ayurvedic Massage Treatments. Her practice has centered around Neuromuscular and therapeutic therapies for chronic pain and structural imbalances as well as Lymphatic Drainage for Cancer, Post-Op, Lymphedema and Wellness since 1999 where she has shown excellence in her field.
Currently, Barbara is offering Lymphatic Drainage Services, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Cupping, Raindrop Technique, Ayurvedic Therapies, Thai Massage, Ashiatsu (Barefoot Sole Massage), Hot Bamboo Massage, LomiLomi Hawaiian Massage and Spa Therapies.
In 2002 Barbara founded Academy for the Healing Arts, a massage school in Southeast Texas. The school was closed due to hurricanes Rita and Ike. She began teaching for Louisiana Institute of Massage Therapy, in Lake Charles, LA soon after, and established the massage therapy program at Vista College in Beaumont, TX where she worked as Program Chair and Lead Instructor. In 2008, Barbara White Seminars, a Nationally Certified Continuing Education Company (NCBTMB Approved Provider) was added to her practice and she began presenting Continuing Education courses in Texas, Louisiana, Florida and Georgia.
Her unique teaching style facilitates the learning and understanding of the materials and theory necessary to achieve excellence in the Massage Therapy and Bodywork fields. Barbara has developed and published multiple massage therapy curriculum and 64 continuing education programs.
Through these varied experiences, she is able to offer exceptional professionalism and training in these fields of study. Her belief in the power of bodywork as a tool for healing, wellness, and change is reflected in her teaching and clinical practice.
Karen French, LMT
Karen brings experience specializing in Swedish, Prenatal, Hot Stone Massage, Deep Tissue massage and Lymphatic Drainage. Karen graduated from The Louisiana Institute of Massage Therapy, one of the best massage schools in this region. She has a passion to help people and relieve stress and muscular pain through massage and stretching. Intuition and communication are her favorite tools.
Paul Anthony Smith, LMT
Anthony moved to Texas in 2010 and has been licensed as a massage therapist since 2013. He enjoys helping people improve aberrant pain patterns and excels in neck work and relieving upper and lower back pain. Specializing in deep tissue, Tony also provides Relaxation Swedish massage, Hot Stone, LomiLomi Hawaiian Massage and assisted stretching. Anthony has spent 10 years providing lymphatic drainage and provides ultrasound treatments for lymphatics and muscle/tendon strains, k-taping and cupping. His personality is warming and inviting. Jaclyn Parker, LMT, CLT, CDT, PO
Jaclyn Parker graduated as Salutatorian from LA Institute of Massage in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She has mastered a variety of massage modalities including Swedish Massage, Myofascial Release, Scar remediation, Frozen Shoulder / Rotator Cuff injuries, Deep tissue, Cupping, Hot Stone, and Body contouring. Jaclyn is also a Certified Lymphedema Decongestion Therapist through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies (ACOLS). She specializes in helping clients with Lymphedema Management, Recovering from Breast Cancer Surgery or Post Plastic Surgery Patients seeking quality Manual Lymphatic Drainage. Besides Massage Therapy, Jaclyn enjoys volunteering as a member of the Texas Native Plant Society and the Texas Master Naturalist Program she is often out and about, birding, hiking, and spending time with her family.
Erin Barrows, LMT, MFR, MMP, CTLC, RHC, RYT
A graduate of Academy for the Healing Arts in 2006 (massage school founded and operated by Barbara White), Erin studied with Barbara and has come home to join her team.
Erin Barrows, founder of Body Be Spoken in Beaumont TX, has been facilitating in Transformational Healing since 2006. Her sessions facilitate a deep physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual transformation & address imbalances and blockages in all of these areas. She is often heard saying “It’s never too late to heal yourself…the trick is, that you have a YES for YOU and you start somewhere!” Through the use of Massage, Myofascial Release, Energy Work, Breath Work, Guidance & Therapeutic Yoga, Erin brings her powerful intuition, presence and gentle love to all she does as a Dynamic Practitioner. Since 2011 she has been teaching/leading Yoga Therapeutics and supporting physical + mental rehabilitation. Since 2017 she has deepened and expanded her practice as a Transformational Life/support Coach. Erin is also a Certified Enlightened Iridologist (eye reading).
Nalee-Ann Lopez

Nalee joins us from a background in corporate insurance and human resource training and management. Her bachelor’s degree is in Political Science and she is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Legal Studies. Nalee is the super smart and sweet voice on our end of the phone, email and text messages throughout the day and the shining face that assists you as you check in and out all while she runs the background nitty-gritty of the business.
