Therapeutic Use of Side-Lying Position
Effective and proper use of body positions are necessary to reach client goals. Frequently overlooked and under-utilized is lateral recumbent (side-laying position) as well as seated positions. Our choice of position can open or close muscle groups and joints. In this course, we will explore proper table height, body mechanics, draping and bolstering as well as therapeutic approaches to muscle groups and joints across the whole body in lateral recumbent positions. Some seated positions will be demonstrated as alternatives. This course is a component of our Neuromuscular Therapy program.
